    Are these a Toyota part only (early 1UZ) or would repco be worth a try?

    AFAIK in Australia its genuine only.

    But I have seen some aftermarket ones on the yahoo japan auctions.

    Hmmm could be major bummer for Wakefield of Toyota doesn't have one in stock

    Have to dig out my spare block and see what kinda shape that water pump is in.

    GMB brand. about 9000yen to me. ($105)... what do they weigh? i can't imagine they would be cheaper than a genuine one (by much) when landed in Oz...

    It would be worth checking around your parts supplier. I got a non-genuine one in QLD. Pretty sure it was GMB brand too. Can't remember the cost though.

    It gets worse...Toyota have superceded the part so the new one -50023 is $284 trade.

    Word has it that it's a big job too....not happy Jan

    Motorspares to the rescue....GMB for $110 plus a timing belt for $78, much happier with that.

    Now to find a spare 6hrs to do the swap

    Well bugger me if Toyota didn't just call back and say they will do me the pump and belt for $150?? Hell yeah i say ...WTF? Pays to call around for sure but this is right out there
