Depending on the car it may be easiest to use the standard 4AGE RWD engine mounts. 3A RWD engine mounts (sourced from AE 85/KE 70 Corollas) are identical to 4A ones and so are a direct bolt on fit. A 4AGE will directly bolt into any car originally fitted with a 3A engine.

What about the 4AC? more common than a 3A??
I haven't heard of nay that bolt in so it may be custom....Or modifying 4AC mounts.
There was a writeup on the old forums.

There's no mounts available that will bolt in, you either need to fabricate new engine mounts to suit the TA22 crossmember, or modify the crossmember brackets to suit some RWD 4A engine mounts, which would be easiest found from a 4AC.
Fabricating ones will save you having to find RWD ones, & will keep the crossmember original, prolly your best bet.

    Hi

As Bigworm has said it is easiest to just get some custom ones made up.
That is what i did with mine.

no, we never got ae'85' in Aus. we still got ae86's, so look for one off that.

and KE70's will not work, as they have a k series motor (hence the K, duh) so look for an ae71 cross member (they look the same as a ke70, but are cs-x models and have a 1.6l 4ac)

afaik, no rwd corolla was fitted with a 3A was sold locally in aus. but its all the same...

I did all the measurments/cardboard mockup/design/cad drawings myself and then got them made up at a place on heathcote rd. I have a receipt somewhere with the name of the buisness on it that i will look up for you.
Just incase you wanted to know i got my tailshaft made up at:

    Sydney Driveline Service
    10 Reservoir ave
    Greenacre

If you have any other questions just ask as the info is still very fresh in my mind having only done it a couple months ago. Only difference being i did a 16v conversion.

thanks heaps mate. That would be great.
I've got most of the parts already. i had a scrap ta22 with a 16v in it but some things were done dodgy (the engine mounts).
