    Hi,

What happens at the Jamboree? I need more info before I decide to go.

I think it's important to have a couple of 18R-G powered vehicles going so they can pick up the p00-powered drivers as their p00s do the old BHG routine.

im actually thinking of flying up at this stage, unless i've got at least one other person either in convoy or sharing petrol costs in my car.

    Hi,

Well, I just checked the net to see what the Jamboree is all about. So he may be sort of right - not that it's not for old people - but it looks like the Bling Festival for F&F wannabees and those with stupendously loud music systems. Based on that I won't be wasting my time, petrol or money going to this event.

I just hope my bling is ready and polished in time. Still investiging the best places to strap neons to the underside of the supra. Havent been able to find engine management software with a large "Danger to Manifold" warning yet. The search continues....

    hi river

its actually the biggest Sport compact drag racing meet in the southern hemisphere.

this year there are cars coming from NZ and also puerto rico, one of which is an 8 sec toyota corolla powered by a N/A 13b with NOS.

the chicks and car show is just another part of it, which i have a gander at but its not my cup of tea. this part is not as big as the drag racing, its nothing like sydney events, this is classed as the BIG ONE of the calendar.

    Hi,

I find it hard to beleive that anything is bigger than the Toymods Toyota Festival in October!

But, I'd like to see some nice pics and a write-up from those that are going to the Jamboree.

I'm heading up from Canberra, about 15 of us have a bus and we are making a road trip out of it - should be good.

Look out for the "Bang Bus" stickered vehicle in the car park

That's right, we all sit in the stands and watch the drags all weekend, the only time we generally leave the racing to check out the other stuff is when there is a break, to get food or to make a deposit at the toilet.

I am looking forward to it this year as I have missed the last two
