They might work, but I'd use hose clamps...

For the price of a hoseclamp, I wouldnt even bother worrying if a cable tie will work.

    Bluetack!!!!!!!!!!!!! FTW!!!

But seriously as said earlier, for the low cost and lack of hassle, use a hose clip

Get some good quality SS hose clamps so they don't rust (if they rust in fuel anyway?), don't use the rubbish cheap ones, they will probably loosen off over time from the vibrations.

This is what people are talking about:

It's a hose clamp in case anyone was wondering.

As others have said I'd use a hose clamp.

BUT as an indication, the fuel pump that I pulled out of my MA61 was held in with zip ties. And it had been in there at least a year (and I suspect much longer). The zip ties still appeared as good as new....

    Cheers

My only concern with zip ties is that we all know you can get cheap shite ones and decent ones. The cheap ones tend to break easily, have a poor locking mechanism etc.

But recently a decent brand that I have never had trouble with before had some duds in the packet, the only way I noticed it was a few hours after using them they had come undone a few cm . They felt as good as the others to do up but the "ratcheting tooth" had no bite. I would hate to see the consequences of something like this happening on an item not easily seen/checked.

    So yeah, hose clamp FTW!

both my walbro kits came WITH cable ties

they were a kinda of semitranslucent white one tho, nbot the usual black or white, so it is possible that they are a fuel resistant type.... so they are SUPPLIED with cable ties (albeit maybe a special type)

so unless you are sure your cableties are fuel resistant.... use hose clamp
