AE82 Twincam Gearbox troubles

hey all,

recently blew my gearbox in my twinky. Now rather than rebuild it i figure it'd be easier to get another. Butttt, are the twincam boxes the same as the single cam boxes? And would an AE92 box fit? Finding it a bitch to source a twincam box in Tas. I think the twincam box is a C52 yeah? any info would be ace

yeh you'd most probably have a C52, and to my knowledge any C series box just bolts up.

A mate recently got rid of his C52 because the selector fork shat itself and replaced it with a C56 and it runs much better, and this is in a 4afc

Seeing as you're in tassie, it'd probably be harder to source one but i know Ichiban and some other places sell them for around the $200-$300 mark, not sure on conditions tho
