    Stop visiting american forums then

I've always heard Norbie talk of his Aristo turbos as having non-steel wheels, but i'll allow him to make the talk.

All JDM 2JZ-GTE's have exactly the same turbos, whether Aristo or Supra, and regardless of whether it has VVTi. And yes that means they're all ceramic.

The USDM 2JZ-GTE gets steel-wheeled turbos, but what most people don't know is they're actually smaller than the JDM turbos. Their advantage lies in the fact you can crank up the boost to insane levels with less fear of destruction, and more importantly, they have a larger wastegate which is the achilles heel of the JDM setup. That's why the Yanks manage to squeeze more power out of their stock twins.

Oh and there's no such thing as a 1JZ in the US (apart from JDM imports of course).
