With a bit of fiddling I'm sure you can make it fit, but isn't it overkill for an atmo 7M? The stock pump should be up to the task.
Hi, would anyone please be able to tell me if this fuel pump will fit fine on an MA61 and whether or not it would be a suitable upgrade for running a 7MGE. If not, can you please put me onto a pump that will do the job. Thankyou.

PS, I know the store is city ford parts but the description doesn't say muchAre fuel pumps like this fairly generic in design or are they all slightly different?

My stock pump is on the end of it's ropes I believe. It's gonna be replaced regardless so I thought I may aswell upgrade it so I never have to worry about it again further down the track. I'm hoping to eventually get 150rwkw from the 7MGE and my colleague at work replaced his fuel pump and he said it cost him over $250 for the pump. If I can get a better pump for cheaper I'd rather do that even if it will be a bit overkill.Originally Posted by Norbie

Yeah, I know without a turbo it will be tough to squeeze out that performance but I figure it's going to be cheaper than trying to get a 7MGTE done and engineered. But I could be wrong. Eitherway, teh mini p00 will crap all over my 5MEOriginally Posted by Draven
You are wrong.Originally Posted by RObErT_RaTh
Back to the original topic, you can get a Walbro with a kit (including appropriate fittings etc) to suit an MA61. I bought one a few years back from these guys, who currently list the MA61 kit at US$109 for the 255lph high pressure pump (although you don't really need the high pressure version for an atmo engine). It's been delivering enough fuel for 305rwhp, which is a lot more than you'll ever see out of your 7M!

The internal walbro that importbitz sell for $175 is easy peezy to put in a MA61 tank, two zip ties later it's a direct swap!

But it would cost me quite a lot to get the rest of the car up to standard for engineeringOriginally Posted by Norbie
I can get the 7MGE and conversion done from start to finish for $2k How much would I need to spend to get it even close to 150rwkw? Stock they are 200hp (~150kw) at the engine.

Build a good 7M and you will acheive your 150 rwkw . Id estimate my ms 137 makes 170 kw at the crank, 7MGE (with some work) I certainly give the uzs 131 crown guys a scare.
The efi system is better on the 7MG crown than any 2JZGE (non vvti)
Oh, and FYI Rona makes 113rwkw with microtech and a built engine (minus cams) whilst stitts 7MGE (prior to GTE) in his wagon made 108 on stock management. My friend Crystal's 7MGTE (dead stock) made 125rwkw at last dyno day. 150rwkw out of a NA 7M is a big ask, but if you do it you'll almost certainly win the class at dyno day if you come up for it!

Quick question, i forget, do we get the 341 or 342 pumps?

GSS341 I'm pretty sure I used, the filter attachment is angled different on a 342, thats the major difference. Lots of pics and info here;
