    Default 1jz autobox

    will the ma61 tailshaft fit into the 1jz autobox or do i need custom work?

    dont mean to be rude Azzamk2, but you do know you can add posts to your existing threads, in which bumps them to the top and grabs ppls attention rather than cluttering the tech section with every question u have .

    To clarify the "no" comment - no your tailshaft yoke won't fit, and yes you'll need to use a larger yoke to suit the new gearbox on your possibly modified (for I have no idea on how you plan to install your 1JZ into MA61) tailshaft - you may get lucky and simply need the yoke swapped over, you may need to shorten the tailshaft front section?!

    and depending on which auto 1j box you get, it will have a different yoke..

    Thats news to me, Every JZ derivitive box I've every had, has the big yoke on it?!

    Yes, they can have either a 3 stud or 4 stud cushion, but all the yoked boxes are all the later model large yoke style, not the earlier model smaller yoke.

    mine had a traditional slipper yoke with uni type..
