Fuel Upgrade for a 1ggte Questions

Hey guys, new to the forum from Adelaide and have a query about my 1988 Toyota GA Supra 1ggte.

I have the usual mods ( Full exhaust, Pod, Catch Can,boost controller), and just recently performed a single turbo conversion (T04E) with external wastegate.

Im pretty much maxing out as you would and want to run more boost, and wondering what sort of injectors would fit the engine, top mount, side feed? Im wanting 220KW + so thinking of 550cc or mabye even 7mgte Injectors.

Another thing is a fuel pump, what fuel pump fits into the the GA Supra, is an external or internal pump? What fuel pump would you guys recommend.

Lastly, a bigger head gasket so I can run more boost, does any one know where you can get a custom gasket fabricated up?

Well, using the stock fuel rail you will have to run top feed injectors.

7m-gte injectors are popular, and pretty cheap to buy. Make sure you get the plugs and a lil wire with them!

I think importbitz would have fuel pumps that will fit the factory location - maybe go have a look there.

Yeah, I just didn't know if they were topfeed or not 7mgte injectors are 440cc instead of the 1g 220cc I presume?

Cheers for your help, anyone know directly if the fuel pump is internal/external and where to get a headgasket?

Also getting Dump/ screamer pipe, intercooler piping and induction piping done at exhaust tech this week.

Your Gen3 1GGTE injectors are 315cc.

Gen2 1G injector plugs also fit the 7M plugs

Do not bother with another head gasket either. The factory one is fine, and this is coming from someone who's had a BHG. The ones that do the head gasket are generally the import ones that have been sitting around in a yard for ages (or like mine, 5 years). The ones that have been running tend to be fine.

I want to run bout 20 psi so you think the factory one can hold it? if so thats alrite, more money for more mods I spose. Anyone know about the fuel pump?

Would 1jz or 2jz injectors fit the 1ggte or are they side feed?

OT, but how much boost are you running with the T04, how laggy is it and how much power is it currently putting out?

It depends, with proper aftermarket ECU I think they might be alright, given decent AFR's and not the Toyota-spec ones.

Your best bet for bolt-in larger injectors are the 7M ones. They can be picked up very cheap from Ebay USA.

The factory head gasket will be fine, providing it's in good condition.

Yeah, I was going to go 7mgte injectors, Larger Walbro fuel pump, and probably a Microtech LTX-10.

if you do want 550cc injectors series 4 or 5 rx7 13bt cant remember which ones will fit straight in thats wat i used too run.

and if you do choose to run with an aftermarket head gasket performance wholesalers in brisbane sell hks triple layer metal head gaskets for 1gs
