update 2 - i heard wrong - RT142 tanks fits into RA40. Hardlines from RT142 also fit, right up the fuel filter mounted on the drives side of the engine bay.
Not 100% boltup but for those not keen on using the stock lines, this lets you run the EFI hosts and fittings (as from the factory) all the way from intnk pump up to the engine-bay mounted filter.
I'll see how my camera pics look and post them if suitable.
MA4X though it fits (you need the MA4X brackets to mount the pump) it has external EFI pump
- ma61 + 2jz-gte + v160 + 3.5 torsen
are the fuel lines a bigger diameter than standard ra40 ones?
I MUST HAVE PICS!!!!
I need to see how different the RA40 tank layout is to the RA28 - i might be able to do some "bracketeering" to fit the RT142 tank
This would make my car 1000000% better smelling when you jump in.
...... butt scratcher?!
barned01: next size bigger - someone with better memory of imperial pipe sizes will know.
karl: i'd have top go to the wreckers to remove one - or ask the dude if he hung onto the RA40 tank when i see him next.
also the RA40 EFI wiring is already integrated into the loom
everything plugged in, tho i cant recall any size difference in the lines

RT142 and RA65 tank doesn't fit in the RA28. Went to the effort of trying this only to find RT142 and RA65 tanks are too high and foul badly on the wheel well.Originally Posted by The Witzl
I'm now considering either;
1- removing the wheel well or modifying the tank to make it shallower.
2- getting a bigger hammer and modifying the top of tank to fit.
3- modifying original RA28 tank to fit baffles and efi pick up (possibly from RT142 tank).
RT142 and RA65 tanks also won't fit in the AE86 sprinter either.
Still trying to work out what i can do with these tanks now that i have em.. They have to fit in something useful.
swan: how similar were rt142 and ra60 tanks?
and how much fouling? we talking an inch? 2?
cause i would consider raising the wheel well and using like a 4inch space saver and all to make this work.

RA60 is carby dude, mech pump, same as st141
corona fuel line is 5/16th diameter
and for those playing along at home that only understand metric, 7.94mm, so pretty well 8mm
hello
BS surely a variant had the 22re or a 4/5me considering how close they were to the MA61 and it had the 4/5me...???

The RT142 fits into an RA60 like a finger in a bum... as does the RA65 tank.
Swan, would the RT142 tank fit the RA28 if different hangers were used?? ie, use the tank straps from the RT142 or make longer ones??
RA60 was NEVER available with EFI (as stated), but the later TA63 and RA65 models did come out with EFI, with the 3TGTE and 22RE respectively.
