Hi all, Please post your interest for a group buy on a set of spool forged rods for the 1ggte. At this stage it is unoffical I am simply getting numbers then will contact rod/river as per the rules surrounding group buys.

As you 1ggte people know no one stocks forged rods for the 1ggte and custom sets will be $$$. Spool imports has the specs already but hasnt done a run yet.

How many to do the group buy: 4
Cost: $450 + postage
What you get: 6x forged spool conrods for any 42mm journal bearing 1ggte.
When will I get them: February

I am confirming where spool get their rods made, some people say china some say USA. If they are from china, forum member bazda can do the same rods for $600 NZD which is ~$450 AUD.

Guys I can confirm that the spool rods are made at the same place Barry(bazda) will be getting them from. So that means the price should be around $450 (pending exchange rate) and available in feb.

Guys I can confirm that the spool rods are made at the same place Barry(bazda) will be getting them from.

I hear people say things like this a lot.
Just because they are made in the same Chinese factory, doesnt mean they are made from the same materials, have the same quality assurances, or manufacturing steps.
Be careful.

Bazda has personally gone to this factory and is again next week. He has also provided proof about where spool rods are made/purchased, which I will not publically post but to those who wish to get the same confirmation, please contact him via PM for the details.
