Have owned a TA22 on and off since 1990. First one caught on fire twice as well as burnt out my brakes. Didn't have one for 6 years, found 2 for $200 dollars. One was complete and running. every panel was eaten out by rust and the other was a rolling frame. Made one car out of two. Put corona struts in the front and bolted on hilux calipers as they were 4 pistons per calipers in stead of one. I put a set of 15inch nissan blue bird mags with 205x55 tyres. Had these bead blasted , came up well. My old motor was a bit tired so I replaced my motor with a fuel injected 18R4GEU.(dino 109hp at wheels) All was going well until I decided i needed more power and turboed it. Too much boost poof went the motor and now it has waited years for a heart transplant. Family always comes first. But its the only car allowed in the garage. My wife has wanted me to get rid of it but u cant take a mans car. She is now resigned to me selling one of the kids rather than my car. I have only 18 mth of school fees left(Kids finished school) then its full steam andl my project is fully realised
