Springnats is celebrating its 15th event and because of increased sponsorship are now awarding more prize money than ever before.

Burnout will now be a Top 10 with the overall winner taking home $5000.00 and money will also be awarded down to tenth place.

Express Motoring Group (EMG), responsible for such iconic Australian performance motoring magazine titles as Extreme Street, Street Commodores, Hot4s, Fast Fours and Zoom, has teamed up with Les Adams and Daryl George, the brains behind the equally renowned modified automotive events Springnats and Autofest.

Now exclusive media partners with Springnats, Murray Bridge Autofest and Wodonga Autofest, all 10 EMG magazine titles will be making a strong, concerted presence at each of the three events, starting November 23 in Shepparton, VIC, with the 15th anniversary of Springnats.

BLOOD, SWEAT AND GEARS

As part of the 2007 Spring Car Nationals, Fox 8 will be filming an eight part series developed by Turtle Wax aptly named Blood, Sweat and Gears which will go to air on the network early in 2008.

Blood Sweat & Gears, the first TV program of its kind in Australia will put drivers and cars through their paces in a number of grueling challenges to find the ultimate King of Cars.

Spring Car Nationals organiser, Les Adams said the program is fantastic for Shepparton.

“There will be national and possibly international coverage so it will definitely put Shepparton and Spring Nats on the map,” said Mr Adams.

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Jenny Houlihan echoed the comments from Mr Adams, saying the town will benefit greatly from the coverage.

“People flock to the town for the Spring Nats weekend, and Blood Sweat & Gears will give them further incentive,” said Cr Houlihan.

Springnats is gunna go OFF this year

Just got the OK on a Police escort from DECA Saturday Night to the Showgrounds for our 15th Celebrations.

After the Saturday Night Celebrations Entrants can leave their car at the Showgrounds if they have a fear of getting done and Sercurity will be onsite overnight to protect your ride(Remember this is done still at owners risk but all measures will be taken to make everyone`s ride as SAFE as can be) then on Sunday Morning at 9.00am the Supercruise,again WITH Police escort will begin at the Showgrounds and travelling through Shepparton back to DECA.

Sercurity will also be over night at DECA for those wishing to leave their Tow Car and Trailer etc over night Saturday.

A Advise Sheet will be presented to all Entrants at Scrutineering.
Entrants taking up this oppitunity are reminded that COMMON SENSE must be undertaken any skid/burnout, open pipes etc and your on your OWN.

Police are on our SIDE so DONT ABUSE IT.

People still considering Entering Springnats are also reminded that For the First Year Ever that you can do this (Show H Shine ONLY) ie: NO Driving Events for $100 and this pays for Entry for TWO into ALL day and night activities over the weekend.
