worthwile events/meets for victoria 2006

Im starting off this thread as a " calander " sort of idea for us as a group

List up any events, show and shines , sprint days , or major meetings you all think we should have a crack at - as attending in mass ..

Suggestions would be things like:

Driftnats in December
Springnats
Winton fun days where anyone can participate
heathcoate/calder drag days ( as a club basis, TCCAV maybe want to put their hand up for this ? )
Autosaloon etc etc

Interstate events such as the toyota nationals in dubbo at easter , and toyofest in sydney in october should also be included here - As these are both worthwile events to attend !

It would be nice to see 2006 as a year where we can come out in mass to support events worth going to - and establish a presence in the car community here in victoria

They might not be " toymods " events - but i hope we can swing some local support behind the likes of TCCAV and the Classic Celica club for examples - and show to prospective toyota Enthusiasts - that there is a strong community out there to participate with.

As Social Sec for TCCA now I'm planning on having lots of events.
as such I think we could manage to put our hand up for a heatcote event.
also I hope to have a social event for ever month possible.

so if any ideas come up and no one wants to do it send it my way, and myself and TCCA will hopefully get it done.

Thats the reason i put it up - in hope we can get something resembling toyods own sydney based stuff happening here in this very state ..

Im sure toymods are well aware that not all interstaters can get up to support all their events - but Id like to say , being atoyomods member , that any interest we can gather to help out them , and our local clubs - the better we'll all be for it

If we know ell ahead that a major event interstate is happening , like the two above - we can get together and make an effort to go up in mass , and getting the mass together , means getting Local events happening first so everyone gets together in one spot at one time

I'm always interested in other meets and events going on around Victoria to attend, so hopefully we can establish a community and go to these things in force rather than have people here, there and everywhere.

Hey guys. This is an awesome idea...I can never find information on events like this in Victoria.

Near where I live there is a local car show at RMIT Bundoora that happens every year around February. Last few times I've gone it has been pretty good...get to see all the local talent, as well as some modded Toyotas

I'll keep you all posted when I can confirm some dates.

Classic Celica Club of Victoria Meet - 26th Febuary 2006

This will be our second anniversary, we'd love to see as many people there as possible so celebrate with us!

We'll be meeting at Lorimer Street, Pier 35, Port Melbourne. Be prepared for a lengthy cruise!

Sorry guys. It doesn't look like it will be on this year. Apparently last year because there were a few idiots doing stupid things, they ruined it for everyone else (that's always the way). Apparently neighbours complained, etc, etc.

Last year I got a flyer with dates and location, so if I get one before the end of February I'll let you all know if it's still on.
