Hey guys. Just a question... will the web address for the old forums remain the same? Reason i ask is that i have easily over 200 Toymods thread bookmarks that i've accumulated and don't want to lose them. Somehow im thinking that i'm going to have to manually re-search for all that precious information![]()
Eddie.
From what ive read, yes they are changing.
But a quick tip, i would be "Aquiring" a copy of Acrobat or the like and using the "web page" feature to turn all you favourite threads to PDFs for safe keeping. If the old forums are anything like the old forums before them, they wont be around forever.
Internet Explorer also has a "save as web archive" function that is usefull for these situations but PDF's are so much less, microsoftish

i thought the forums were going to remain the same... only difference is that you can no longer post anything in there...
BOARD, can we get a confirmation please?
url will change, just not right now.
...... butt scratcher?!
www.toymods.org.au is the web address for the club so the current active web site and forum will be at that address. This means the old forum has to be moved. In theory all you should have to do is change the first part of the address in your bookmarks to reflect the new location of the forums.
I didn't quite understand that.....
do you mean the www.toymods.net website will be going and the url will revert abck to the old one? and then the OLD forums will just be somewhere on that site?
the prefix will change ie http://forums.toymods.org.au will be the current forums in time. if u want to find ur old threads when u look them up jsut change the prefix.
so for example, if the old forums are located at http://forums.toymods.org.au/oldforums/ then u would change this:
http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.p...t=0#msg_161788
to this
http://forums.toymods.org.au/oldforu...t=0#msg_161788
theoritaclly changing the location of the forums shouldnt change the source file or the script correct.?
