oh, and down the bottom of the page, a thread from pre-forum release was linked...

the "moderators - feedback neeeded" thread... it's not visible on the normal thread listing, so it's kinda weird it popped up again..

Ive noticed this on a few threads and I'm guessing it's there coz of the word "feedback" in the title. When I go to my MA61 build thread theres a shitload of MA61 related threads linked at the bottom.

can you guys do the feedback thing currently ?

Nope, I push the feedback Icon nothing happens. It's a bummer cause it's a good way to check your own rep (infact it's the only way I know of)

The feedback button currently isn't working, this appears to have fallen over when the forum was upgraded from 3.5 to 3.51 to fix a couple of other annoying problems that were going on.

Thanks for pointing out the PM issue Stu. The problem is that you had gained enough rep to get into the privelliged users group but I had not actually configured PM usage for the group. It should be all sorted now.

The similar threads section down the bottom is an auto search that gets run for any thread you visit, as I'm sure you've noticed. The feedback thread comes up because I simply set the forum feedback section not to display rather than removing it from the forum.

Rob has sorted out the reputation issue, basically whenever the software is updated they feel free to change a bunch of things in the templates that cause havok.

The rep button has been fixed but in doing so we've found a lovely "undocumented feature" with the avatars.

is there any other way to check your reputation? other than searching for a thread that you have made/posted in...

Rob has made a change to have the reputation of a user listed on each of their posts. This should make it a bit easier and hopefully encourage more people to make use of the feature.

yayyyyyy, i'll put members ride back up again soon.. when i get time to blink... bloody jetsetting (conference in Sapporo, then conference in Nara, then playing in Osaka and Kyoto, and then back to Tokyo on tuesday.... amazing how tiring conferences can be when you drink till 2 or 3 each morning )

I'll look for the pdf.. i think it's at uni, otherwise i'll just do over... remind me to send cash for cap

heh heh, i've already started on neg feedback... i think any non-relevant post in the tech section should be appropriately frowned upon with feedback, in the hope of readjusting peoples values. although, if they never get enough feedback, they won't specifically know why it's happened (but i suppose they can ask the board for clarification?)

but yeah, as i said in other thread, once many people start giving both good and bad feedback, it will be interesting to see how quickly the ratings change..
