1. What is the difference between the 'moderator' and 'super moderator' user categories?
2. What is the difference between the 'privileged user' and 'registered user' subcategories? Is a 'privileged user' a user with over 40 'reputation', or something else?
3. How do you view your own 'reputation'?
4. What is a 'junior member' (in user text) and how is it different to 'Toymods Club Member'?
5. Are the reputation points you contribute to other users dynamic or static? That is, if you have rep power 5 when you rate someone, but subsequently have your rep power reduced or annulled by someone (moderator etc) does the user you rated retain the reputation you applied to them while your rep power was higher?
Cheers,
Michael

A super moderator is a user that has moderation rights to every section of the forum, a moderator is a user who has mod rights to specific sections of the forum.
A privilleged user is one who has gained 40 rep and they are moved to a group that has rights to post for sale ads and have an avatar etc.
I believe you can view your rep in the userCP.
A Toymods Club Member is a member of the Toymods Car Club. A junior user is a user who is not a member of the car club and has not moved to the privilleged group.
Rep votes take effect at the time they are mode, they are not scaled over time to the rep of the original voter.
Cheers for the quick reply.
If that is the case, what then is the difference between 'junior user' and 'Toymods forum member'?A Toymods Club Member is a member of the Toymods Car Club. A junior user is a user who is not a member of the car club and has not moved to the privilleged group.
Still digging in the userCP for own rep section. Doesn't seem to appear. Would be good to have each user's rep publicly displayed to illustrate the credibility of info posted by users, allowing one to focus on the signal (oldcorollas, norbie, cruzida, gt, etc.) around the noise.
well when i click my "User CP" menu i get the user CP with the following showing how many reputation points i have earned. Im only on 11....![]()
...... butt scratcher?!
I presume that is for members obtaining the reputation points are "Official" paying members. For those that aren't members (those that just signed up like me), don't get reputation points.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Everyone starts with 10 reputation and can earn more as they go along. The only thing I think of that is different between club members and forum members is that the club members are able to see the reputaion votes. Once forum members get up to 40 rep they also are able to see all of the rep votes towards themselves.
Thanks for the clarification.

OK, so I can't see rep points until I get to 40.
Also,
Thanks.Originally Posted by SeptemberSquall

heres one - Posting in the tech section FAQ section ..
ive made a handful of how to:s relating to Gt4 and early celicas over the past that could benifit the forum users , yet " privilages " wont let me post ..
is this something you need to earn ?
I have to ask, what is the small green square under "location" in everyones post. When you run your cursor over it it says the person is "neither here nor there".
What the hell does that mean?

Yeah, i thought that little green square was odd, until the rep stuff comes up. Its basically a rating system i think. Green is good, (i.e. your rating is neither here nor there) and then there would be different colours other than that. That is how ive seen it used on other forums.
As for the reputation stuff, i cant see it in my UserCP, and im a club member
Ah, if you post on the "Add to reputation" icon in one of your own posts it will tell you what your rep is.
does the email link work for anyone else?
ie. i have one in my sig, and ive seen one in other people's sig's, but when i click them they dont do anything. they have the right "mailto:" tag in the status bar too
ill just test it in a post: email
edit: ^^ that test didnt work...
it doesnt show up as a hyperlink (ie. blue text) either...

another one
if you give someone reputation points, do they see who it came from? and the comment?
also, it's probably been noticed, but the subject for email notifications reads "Toymods Forums Forums"

Yes, they can see the points and who it was from, and what the comment was.
no, only financial club members can, or a regular forum member who has gained the required reputation level.Originally Posted by takai
