Hi all

One of my customers asked me to make one of these mounting blocks for his MA70:

When designing it I noticed the 60mm hole where the engine loom passes through the firewall looked very similar to MX83, I'm thinking that it was probably common across most Toyotas of that era. Basically it's a 60mm hole with a ~4mm lip pressed around it.

So the question is, what other Toyotas (or even other makes) might the mounting block suit? For those of you that have done lots of engine conversions, do you normally have to muck around swapping the big grommet on the engine loom of the donor motor, or have you found that it just fits in the firewall?

I'm only really familiar with the 80's-90's era Toyotas, do the 70's-80's and 90's-onwards stuff have a similar arrangement?

Cheers!
