Hey, we have many guys in NZ running this setup. No issues at all as we now use Quartermaster TOBs.

Cool. I've been reading about a bot with the Throw Out Bearing designs, I'll look up Quartermaster TOBs now.

Ideally I'm chasing an R150 hydraulic TOB setup for a 1KZTE hilux ... must be similar to the R151 but how similar, that is the question ...

I know there have been guys who have adapted our kits to suit without an issue.

    Are these kits still available.
I have an MA-70 7M-GTE R154 with OS Giken twin plate and stock master cylinder.
Can anyone confirm if the stock master is OK or that failing if it can be bred out to the required diameter.
I recall reading somewhere else that there is also the possibility of too much travel and a pedal stop I required

Yes the kits are still available. They work with OS Giken.
As for the stock master they work with it but depends on how much throw you clutch needs to release.
What we have been doing here in NZ is boring out the stock master cylinders and fitting a 3/4" piston into them. Only costs around $100nzd to do so.

I got one of these Quater master hydro bearing kits with tilton twin plates for my 600hp ma71 2jz from Barry & I have never looked back since.
It eliminates all these push/pull conversion kits with a million moving parts.

There seems to be two master cylinders, the steel ma-70 one and the alloy jza-70 one. I have the former, if that can be modified to a larger bore thats great news. Mine has been rebuilt with a stainless sleeve and never used, be good to start with another used unit

I just wanted to let you know that I have FINALLY fitted this to the car mate.
The little alloy plate with the stud that is there to stop the mount from rotating did not suit the bolt spacing in my gearbox so I had to drill a new hole for the bolt and drill and tap a new hole for the stud and now it is all in there happy days.
Very easy to measure and setup, will know soon how it works

    Cheers, Andy
