Default Electric fuel pump conversion for 2M engine

    Hi everyone,

The original mechanical fuel pump of my all-stock 2M engine is dying and a new one is no longer available here locally. I am considering to convert to an electric pump, to eliminate vapor lock as well (which has been happening frequently). However, the only electric fuel pumps available here have an output flow of only 19 GPH (74 LPH). Is that sufficient enough for the 2M?

    Cheers,
    Jonathan

let me try to help with some calculation..

from wiki, 2M outputs 109-115 HP.

using this calculator, since a carb can be assumed as one big injector, i get the required injector sizing for 115 HP is 760 cc/min

using google to convert, 760 cc/min equals to 45.6 LPH which is way below your fuel pump max flow of 74 LPH..

    sooo.. i'd say you're safe.
