well the celica have 5x100 so that won't work.......
93 on camry's will be easy to find to grab cheap hubs and have the 5x114.3
Ok, I'm sick of having a hard time finding decent rims to fit my Levin. I have massive brakes and need 17" rims etc. And have had to pass up heaps of good rims at good prices because of this stupid stud pattern.
So, as part of the build, I want to convert from 4x100 to 5x114.
I plan to get some front hubs from a celica or the like and grind them down to fit, I mean, lathe....
For the rears I'll look to do the same, so I can retain the stock brakes and knuckles etc.
Does anyone know of the possibility of this working? I have the Corolla hubs, so I guess I need a set of 5x114 hubs that are close in size that I can turn down.
Any ideas?

Ah true. I'll look at Camry hubs then. Does anyone know the sizes of the bearings used in Corolla and Camry hubs?
If I could modify the Camry spinny hub bit to fit the Corolla knuckle (I want to use my super strut gear) that would be ideal.
fwiw: Camry/Celica (well, at least around the ST185 era - which fits with your potential donor: '93 Camry) use the same wheel bearing kit.
Whether the wheel mounting face is in a suitable spot/offset with regards to the caliper mount (Corolla versus Camry) is unknown.
sweet. I'll have to head down to the wrecker on the weekend.
i have a bearing and hub from an sw20, i was told these are the same bearing as the sdv10's widebody camry.
i'll measure when i get home.
Surely it would be easier to convert to 5x100 ?
Or are rims just as scarce in that pattern too?

by far the easiest way is to just get 5 stud hub caps and fit over std steel wheels.... LOL
im not sure if its possible to get 4x100>5x114 spacers?
edit: i thought there where a lot of nice wheels in 5x100
i know plenty of people tend to have a hard time getting 5x100 rims in offsets they want to suit celica's, most 5x100 are to suit wrx's and the like and have 40+offsets.
dunno what offsets your looking for the corolla's tho.
I've seen a few 5-stud conversions done on AE10Xs over in the US, can't remember what they used though.
And whilst 5x100 is a pain to find in the right offset, don't multi-fit aftermarket 5-stud wheels cover 5x114.3 and 5x100 normally? Or do they use 5x114.3 and 5x120 (Falcon and Commodore respectively) instead?

Terra, there is 1 major problem, the brakes i supplied you are Celica discs, the inside diameter only just fits a 4x100 or 5x100 drive flange. If you move to a 5x114 drive flange the diameter will be much bigger and wont fit inside the celica disc.

Hmmm, I didn't think of the rotors not fitting. I'll have to check that the calipers sit far out enough too.
I'll check out if I can get any decent rims in 5x100, if so that will make things fit easier.
why not convert to 4x114.3? i would have thought that would have the greatest choice in wheels by far? although i guess a lot of them are 14-15".....
pcd conversion spacers not an option?
