Justen for your setup did you simply cut/file/machine 8 or so mm off the back of the top mounting tab and make a slotted 8mm thick alloy plate?

No I had an alloy sleeve machined up to replace the mount I removed....it just left the long bolt from the head. Length to suit the slotted 8mm plate I made up for the tension.
I'll try and take a pic from the side.

Hi I am having a problem with belt slipping with this design. I am thinking of making the alternator a swivel style and getting rid of the tensioner all together. Would more belt on the alternator get rid of the squeeling? Sorry for the old revive, but I am in a pickle. Thank you!
Have you got a pic of the current setup. Might be able to give better advice
Hi Camos, I have the same setup as ED. I machined and welded the 7m water pump pulley on the tensioner. I'm running the tensioner, the alternator, and the crankshaft. We checked voltage and everything checks out.
Make it easy for us dude, have to go and read the whole thread to find out what he is running.
I did see he mentioned that he had slippage.
Help a bro out and get a few happy snaps so we can all chime in. A lot of the old pics are now dead links
Okay sorry man. When I get to the garage I'll snap some. It's a little tight because it's in a Miata.
