Default Engine weights, help needed guys!

Guys i need some toyota engine weights to help me decide on a path for a project im working on.
    Specifically i need weights for 3SGE, 1ZZ, 4EFTE, 3K.
mainly interested in the weights of the 4efte and the 3K. the engines need to be weighed as bare long engines, this means block, cyl head, not manafolding, a/c, powersteering etc. pref without a flywheel on them either.
If anyone has one of these engines kicking round and a set of scales id really appreciate the effort put in to weigh it for me.
Weight of manifolding and shit isnt important at all to me as which ever way i decide to go all the stuff will be hand made for racing.

    Thanks heaps guys....

    Not sure of the exact weights you require but;
    3k is the lightest
    4efte not much heavier
1zzfe plus a bit more and
    3sge is the heaviest.

Probably not much help, but no one else has come up with anything yet!

    no luck on PF eh?

i'm pretty sure i posted the bare weights of 4AG block and 4K block a while ago (would have been mid 2007? or late 2005?)) (but of course i can't find em right now, and i can't remember exactly where or what the weights were...)
the 3K has a deck difference of about 10mm with the 4K, , as well as slightly longer throw crank, so there will be a little weight difference, but not heaps.
xK flywheels tend to be around 9kg from memory.

sorry i can7t meaure one atm tho

    I would have thought

4E (alloy head but a small engine)
    1ZZ (all alloy/mmc)
    3K
    3S
Past Toyotas - Snow White (TA23), Blue Stivo (ZZE123)
    Current Toyotas - Hamster (AW11)

    4E is 1300, 74 bore, 77.4 stroke, twin cam
3K is 1200, 75 bore (bigger piston), 67 stroke (smaller crank? maybe not). single OHV

both are alloy heads, 4E has extra cam and valves.....

1ZZ although it has alloy block, is a physically much larger engine than the 3K...

    linked from that http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1448

smallport 4AGE engine basically complete: ~ 120 KG

this is my engine, weighed on some bathroom scales, flywheel attatched, no aircon, no exhaust manifold
lemme put it this way.... i'm not that strong, but i can lift a 4AG with no accessories.
i can lift a 4K with manifolds and accessories attached (iirc )

there is no way in hell i can deadlift 120kg....
i did weigh the AC and brackets and alt and all that shit from a 4A, but farked if i cna find where...

other list has 4A at 116-126, and 1ZZ at 102-126...(with gearboxes)

i'll ask in K thread if someone has engine they can weigh

edit: in the SAE papers on 1ZZ and 2ZZ..
the 1ZZ is 23% less than 120kg (which was the "previous engine = 7AF?)
    that includes intake and exhaust

in the 2ZZ paper, it gives dry weight of engines as 2ZZ= 115kg, and 1ZZ = 102kg
they are from toyota themselves, so should be reasonably accurate (and would be long engines i think)

    from oldcorollas list.. jamie B
i had my 4k short motor at work today with some scales handy. the motor
contains block, crank, big ends, rods, pistons, cam, cam pulley. it also
has the turny thing from my engine stand bolted to the back of it. no
sump, timing cover, oil pump, head, dizzy or anything else. it weighs 48kg
so at least that is a data point if you can fidn the other bits...

    and also..
According to Toyota 3K Engine Repair Manual, the Service Weight w/air air cleaner less clutch is 98 kg
so thats a long long motor with flywheel and everything but clutch.

I picked up my 4K, complete with flywheel/clutch, out of the boot and into the shed.

    Doesn't help with weights though.

The link may be 'Dead' now, but I copied the info from it before it 'Died'

    Depending on versions it lists;

    3k.....95kg
    4e-fte....103 to 109 kg
    1zz-fe....102 to 126 kg
    3s-ge....128 to 156 kg

Now, i'm not sure why the variations on each engine are so great, but those figures were taken directly from the list on that site!

Ill weigh my gen 3sge bare long in the next few days and post here to, has anyone got a dead bare long 4efte they want to weigh for me, would still like a bare long weight of a 3k to! By bare long i mean, just engine and head, not manifolds or aux components.
