4AGZE into AE71 Panel Van

Hey Guys just after some info
Me and my Technician at work are planning on building a AE71 Panel Van with a 4AGZE in it..
Just wondering will this fit straight in?
Wat Gearbox should i run?
Wat Diff?
and wat sorta brake upgrades will i need to do to pass enginerring and ofcourse for safty reasons.

You should be able to search for this info as well. There's STACKS of it. The sedan will be identical except for the rear end using 5 link instead of leaf. Most AE86 techs will apply to your build as well.

Keep the following from your 4AC and bolt it to the GZE, better yet, train your dog to do it for you & sit back & watch with a few beers, its that easy!

- Engine mounts
- gearbox supports (bolt to the bottom of the block at the rear)
- gearbox sandwich plate
- starter motor
- your gearbox! (but upgrade to a W55/57/58 if you like to thrash it)

You will need a flywheel from a 4AGE, either bigport, smallport or 20V, but the last two are preferable as the clutch is 1/2" bigger

Rewiring the alternator for the internal regulator is simple, there should be a tech doc on here somewhere

Water system can be converted quite easily too, look for witzl's guide in the FAQ to use the remote thermostat. You don't need the water outlet on the back of the head from a RWD 4AGE, there is enough firewall clearance for the FWD one.

The radiator already has the hoses in the correct locations also.

Oh, and I s'pose you'll need to wire up an ECU as well.........

Ventilated discs on the front should get you past most engineers, complete jap struts from an AE86 would be bolt in if you can find some, and won't have the camber issues that most celica/corona brake conversions create.
