    Default ISCV problem

Have been trying to find the cause of low idle on my bros JZZ30, i think i have found the problem but just need to confirm.

Read through some other ISCV threads on here and tested the 6 pin connector, found that with the motor running the center two pins ( 2 & 5 ) have no power at all going through them.

Would this be a wiring problem or does the signal come from the ECU?

The ISCV is ECU Controlled so i'd assume yes the Signal comes from the ECU.

    Its a stepper motor.
Certain pins only get power when the ECU wants the motor to turn.
So your test doesnt prove anything.

If you can unbolt and remove the ISCV easily, do that and give it a good clean with throttle body / carb cleaner.

This is indeed a wiring problem.

Umm, sorry, but if you do not have power on pins 2 and 5 then the ECU signals won't have any effect.

His test does prove something - that the power to the ISCV is missing.

So trying another ECU would be pointless?

Sounds like might be a job for an auto electrician to fix, wouldn't know where to start looking!

    Okie dokie then

Still, cleaning out an ISCV cant hurt.
They do get gummed up over time.
