Hi all. My mate has just finished his 1.5JZ conversion but has hit a problem.
He has used an NA 2JZ, so has been required to tap in some oil feed holes for the turbo feeds. But there seems to be a problem with it no getting oil, as a result he thinks one of his turbos is now rooted (top mount KKK turbos).
I've done about all I can over the phone with him (he's in Townsville, I'm now in Adelaide). Any ideas from the wise and knowledgeable on here?hehe

Where on the engine were the feeds tapped into?
Has he measured oil flow and pressure from these feeds?
With my old 1.5JZ setup which also used a 2JZ-GE block, the oil feed was tee'd off for the twins after the single supply was taken from the oil filter mount union bolt as described here http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/oil...mod/index.html

As far as I'm aware, they drilled into the block, and tapped it in more-or-less the same spot a normal GTE engine. And no, don't think they measured it. And yeah, I've done the same kinda thing as you have on a mates 4AGZE with turbo. Got the oil feed from where the pressure sensor goes from memory (T-piece).

There is no oil supplied to the galleries that he has used in a 2jzge block. As already mentioned, it need to be ran from the other side of the motor.

Ah I see. Cheers for that. That's pretty much what I thought would be the case. I shall forward that on and see how he goes.
