Bit of a boob question, but whats the process of getting my engine at TDC ( 4agze DLI MAP version )
Thanks for any help
Tyrone.
Rotate engine over by hand until one of 4 things (preferably all 4) occur:
1. Notch on crank pulley lines up with the 0 mark on the timing case (or pointer)
2. Look down oil filler cap and look for the little indentation in the intake camshaft. When this is vertical it is at TDC
3. Take off the front cambelt cover and look for the little dimple indentations in the cam gears. When these line up wit the extruded lines in the backing plate you are at TDC.
4. Take off the front cam belt cover and when the pin on the intake camshaft is at 12:00 and the pin on the exhaust is at 4:00ish then at TDC.
