    Default help with 3sgte tvis actuator of a st185

    To anybody outhere,

    My turbo wastegate actuator is not working. If I would like to replace it, from which other vehicle model i can switch with ? mine is celica gt4 st185 engine. here in indonesia celica engines is not a common engine.

    so can anybody advice pls. thanks

    are you sure that's attached to the turbo? it looks like a TVIS actuator.

    does it move if you supply it with vacuum?


    fwiw:- the stock 185 actuator has two ports on it (one connects to the compressor housing, the other goes around to under the intake manifold and connects to a VSV (vacuum switched valve) that part of the factory boost control system.

    3SGE of same era would have similar actuator. Maybe one form a 1GGTE but the pushrod might be different length and mountings might also differ,
