Hi
I have almost finished my R&P setup into TA22 Celica. For the conversion, I used a KE70 cross member and R&P steering setup. The problem I have is I am using MX73 struts with coilovers, R33/BA Falcoon brake setup and the KE70 rod ends are too small to fit into the MX73 steering arms (MX73 have a larger diameter taper). I have searched on here and unable to find alternative steering arms with the right spacing to use on the MX73 struts (to give a smaller taper to suit KE70 rod ends), so it looks like I will have to go for MX73 rackends and rod ends to get my steering to work out. I dont know whether they will fit the KE70 steering rack though.
Any help would be appreciated. Also looking for some RCAs to suit MX73 strut.
Cheers
You could get a tapered bush machined up to fit the KE70 tie rods into the MX73 steering arms. Similar to the bushes T3 sell to fit AE86 steering arms to KP Starlet ball joints. Depending on how different the taper is of course, may not be enough gap to make maching possible.

I was looking at that earlier when chasing down some RCA's for MX73 strut. I was reading in another thread that RA60 have a bigger distance between the alignment slots on the steering arms than AE86/xA2x Celica's. Maybe RA60 steering arms will fit MX73 strut and have a smaller taper to suit KE70 rod ends.
Gonna be a case of mix and match by the looks of things.
I would go the T3 bushes, but dont think they will fit in my application??
Nah, those ones won't fit. Was just an example of what I meant. Try this link, has some strut spacing info.

Just the link I needed mate. Basically shows that xA6x Celica/Supra and Cressida's have the same spacing in the strut to steering arms dimensions. So, now need to find out the taper size in the steering arms and also whether ball joint taper is the same for them.Originally Posted by WDE_BDY
I think the easiest option will be to swap the KE70 rack ends out and use MX73 rackends and steering arms. Just need to know whether these will fit the KE70 rack??
