Does anyone know for certain if a Blue/Black top (Big Port w/TVIS) Fuel Rail will work with a 100kw Red top (small port)? Ive searched but only found some info on 4AGZE's which some people say are the same but it wasn't really clear if a a Big port fuel rail will fit a Small port, if not will at least the fuel pressure regulator from a Big port fit a small port fuel rail?
Also when I bought my Sprinter the previous owner had installed a Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (the cheapy ones which you get off ebay) and well I don't like the way he installed it using old hoses and line clamps which dig into the line, instead of using the proper clamps which have a smooth inside and don't damage the line. It is currently pressured by a VL Fuel pump which is under the car and doesn't appear to have a lift pump with only the VL pump sucking and pressurizing the fuel from the stock pickup, if I was to replace the AFPR with a stock regulator will the pressure from the VL pump be too high, right now on the AFPR its at 38-40 PSI, or should I just use a AE82 in tank pump mounted low inside the tank and get rid the of the VL pump as its very noisy and its current setup doesn't look very safe.
Here is a photo of the current setup by previous owner.

I would really appreciate it if anybody could post photos of their current setup, as I would like to get ideas and stuff like that, I've heard that some setups surge without a surge tank while others don't have any problems.
If anyone has a AE82 4A-GE in-tank pump setup such as the pump and bracket they want to get rid of I would be interested.
Thank You
Cheers, David

Funny you should mention, I've got an AE82 pump with a modified bracket to sit it down the bottom of an AE86 fuel tank. PM me if you're interested.Originally Posted by xXxPigeonKickerxXx
In answer to your other questions, no a bigport rail will not fit on a small port. You need another small port one.
I can't see any issue with running a stock fuel reg.
Wow that is a very messy fuel setup they've got there though, I'd hope that running a VL pump you'd at least run a surge tank. I personally much prefer an in-tank pump setup, its neater, cleaner and quieter. You shouldn't get any more surge than you currently do either using a stock ADM AE86 tank. By far the best solution though is to source a JDM AE86 tank and pump, but they are often hard to come by and rather expensive. Using an ADM tank with an intank pump, you shouldn't get any fuel surge until 1/8 tank left during conservative street driving, or 1/4 tank with under hard cornering.
If you want to go all out you can also get a JDM AE86 fuel line from Toyota, I bought one for my AE71 set me back like $65 (on trade price) and there was even one in Melbourne.
I want to do your engine conversion wiring for you, PM me.

I could get a JDM fuel tank but getting it shipped over here from QLD would cost more than I can afford and the AE82 pump an bracket mod seems more suited and cheaper especially for my needs anyways. Is it the JDM Hard line you are referring to? If yes is it larger in diameter or something, Ive heard people using the standard 6mm hard-line with no issues, which is what I'm most likely going to do unless I get problems.
Thanks
