3sgte into st184 gearbox info

can anyone point me to a thread involving gearbox info for a 3sgte conversion in my 184 does the 184 box fit and handle, do i have to modify a gt4 box /??????????

Box will fit, should handle the power OK, they normally do

All you have to do is take off one of the manifold braces so you can mount the driveshaft carrier to the block

The S code box as used in the 184 will bolt up and handle it, but not for long.
I have written a short article on the E code gearbox as used in GT4, Supercharged/Turbocharged MR2 and some Caldinas. check out www.roadandtrack.net.au. if interested.
It is not difficult to modify a a GT4 box for 2WD use like you need.
