Hi all, I have a W55 behind a 1JZ in an MA61.
Currently it would appear to be running a holden clutch 220mm * 29mm but with a 21 spline friction plate instead of the 10. Would this be what they list as fitting a holden red with a celica gearbox? The friction plate would be correct but is that the correct pressure plate and would it need a different throwout bearing?
From what I understand the other option is to run a 2JZ-GE flywheel and the standard 240mm JZA80 clutch kit will then fit, is this correct?
Any other options?
I doubt you run a holden clutch dude. Your not by chance using a dellow bellhousing?
If you are then firstly sorry. The listing they have for a holden red is more than likely a bellhousing to mate a w series box to a holden engine.
If you have a w series box behind a 1j using dellow bellhousing then get rid of it and get yourself a 2jz-ge bellhousing, flywheel, anc clutch. Their bellhousings for the 1j-w5* are rubbish and nothing but problems. They dont disengage the clutch properly, all sorts of things. Im sure theyre ok in other instances but with these bellhousings theyre garbage.
I dont even really understand the question you are asking.

Sorry if it was a bit vague.Originally Posted by LeeRoy
The listing I was referring to is in the PBR book and is a clutch kit for holden red with a celica box, it has the correct size and spline friction plate but Ripco didn't have one on the shelf to look at (I have busted a spring out of the current one).
Unfortunately I believe it IS a Dellow bellhousing, the casting is quite rough and the clutch is very heavy.
Mainly I wanted to confirm that all I needed to run the 2JZ clutch was the flywheel but it seems I need a genuine Toyota bellhousing as well.
So my questions now are...
Does anyone know any part numbers of the clutch used in the Dellow kit and which flywheel would be on the motor now?
What is the part number for the JZA80 bellhousing?
Anyone got a JZA80 flywheel?
Sounds like you got some ghey Dellows conversion kit using Holden bits.
I can't see any reason you can't use a Toyota flywheel and clutch using the Dellows bellhousing. JZA80 flywheels are available new from Toyota, or there are various aftermarket lightweight flywheels available (often at a lower price).

I had one of these in my 1JZ MA61 for about 15mins. It is a Hodlen 1 tonner clutch and poressure plate set up and the flywheel will be one that Dellow make themselves. It is easier to get Direct Clutch in Brisbane make you up a clutch and pressure plate that will work better and be much lighter to use. That's what i did and no problems. The clutch is just too heavy. I had no problems with the bell housing or the flywheel from them.
