18rg into my pig

i have a rt104 carona wit a 18 rc wit a 3 speed auto i think and its almost had it. i want a 18rg wit a w50 box to add to my project any if would be helpfull

Get a carbie 18R-G and it should be relatively straightforward. You'll need a front-sump engine and most 18R-G's have a mid-rear sump to suit a Celica, but you can swap the sump from you 18R-C so that's no biggie.

The W50 will be a direct fit, it's the same size and has the same mounting points as the W40 4-speed found in an RT104. You'll probably need a tailshaft from a manual RT104 though, from memory the manual boxes are a different length to the autos.

u will need a few throttle linkage bits, and u need to have the big main rod shortened too {cut and braised}, the only other thing that needs to be changed is the exhaust, if the motor u get comes with extractors, just get a 2 or 2.25 inch system put on it, but make sure they put a flange in just at the end of the secondaries {TRUST ME }

while u r doing ghe conversion, get a few spare diffs ready

btw, that scoop will now be used for cooling your extractors
