hey guys,
another one for you, i
i need my turbo oil return line, must be 5/8 inner diametre, and have a 90degree bend in it,
ive spoken to pirtek, and they say they wont have anything with a 90 in it,
can you guys recomend any other hose specialist besides pirtek?
cheers, blake![]()
mine drain is made of high-temp silicon hoses and a large brass fitting with barbed ends to step it down in size to suit the sump - you could do the same with a 90 degree brass fitting. Brass fittings are available from most hose suppliers (in BNE i use harvey's hoses, Pirtek, Enzed or a diesel spares shop)
Enzed? 10cha

yeah, your pirtek and the likes will always go the "NO" option when they think something is a little harder to do than their usual.
Oil return is always pretty easy to knock up, doesn't require a whole hell of a lot of hardware, no pressure, all that....

hey blake its Matt,, pirtek hav told me no twice when enquiring bout turbo fittings,, enzed in brookvale seemed pretty cool and want to help me out they are getting me my 5/8 t pieces for my coolant lines!!
i went to motorsport connections in seven hills for my other bits and they look cool too,, they hav a massive range from speedflow down to some cheaper options!!
Speedflow is what your after.
I've fucked around with cheaper versions, and believe me, they AIN'T fucking worth it....
Yes, it pissed me off..

pirtek are the biggest bunch of useless pricks. I dont recommend them for anything at all. Enzed are better and if you want the best part tht will work properly only go to earls or somewhere like motorsport connections.

i found pirtek at hornsby allright.....prob coz the dude there looked after me, gave us good discounts n shit....
i got all my lines and fittings there...except for the oil return 90' bend,
but i tool my turbo in to them, and asked for the fitings and they had them ready on the shelf, and made my braided lines on the spot,

Yeah motorsport connection at seven hills is a really good hose/fitting/performance shop, a little expensive but they are very helpful and always have what you need
lucky you he had the parts both times i hav gone there once with the turbo he said "oh na i..ii caaant help with that!! you hav to go to garrett or something!!" then second time just for a brass 5/8 t piece " na sorry mate got nothing!! does anywhere actually make them?? coz i hav neva heard of one??"
and yeah motorsport connections are a little $$ but im trying to do a mix (good stuff where it is really needed and so on)
but yeah enzed in brookvale really wanted to help so i will be goin there the the turbo water lines!!
DO NOT get turbo fittings and lines from enzed (especially brookvale). they are way to expensive, and half the time I get stuff made there it causes problems, ive had a powersteering line come back from them completely blocked.
I recommend motorsport connections in seven hills (just off the m2), complete line setup for my apexi turbo,ie earls fittings, braided line, hose for oil return cost under $300, whereas enzed were quoting way more than that.
motorsport connections actually know stuff about cars, and they have a bigger range of fittings.

Interesting people's experiences! Personally I find both my local Pirtek and Enzed pretty good and willing to help with stuff. For turbo returns sometime's it's a good idea (better, cheaper, more reliable) to use a metal pipe bent in the shape you want, rather than use too many bits of hose/fittings.
5m air injection hose is oil resistant and is 5/8 , perfect for turbo return

Depends who you go too, Enzed could'nt-didnt want to do mine....The guy at pirtek did do it, .though a few guys in the place wanted nothing to do with it.....its up to whether the boss pays em good or not I think....pirtet where helpfull,. oldmate worked on them with me to get what I wanted..and they have all the bends.
well after heaps of recent fucking around with this shit i found enzed (ingleburn) to be fucking hopeless, didnt have shit and couldnt help, where as pirtek at campbelltown were awesome. if you have the $$ go for speedflow fittings. i had to buy a few but there damn nice bits of kit.
where bouts in syd are you?
so many different opinions indeed!!! i guess everyone has the same probs as i did some ppl help some dont!! when its just a matter of finding the connections ( half of which prob come from the same factory to start with!!) well i just got all mine the water t-pices from enzed $50 and motorstport connections for the oil feed and block t-piece all up i hav spent $230
I got my oil lines done at pirtek for 80 bucks. a bend, welded in, ..silicone hoses so I can place them anywhere. they look good, and they said they know what they are doing...the bottom line is, ..they are proffessionals, .or advertise to be, ....so if anything goes wrong with lack of oil being put to the turbo, .i just go in there and say fix that.
