Following on from the Toyota diff thread created by brett_celicacoupe, I thought it would be nice to have a searchable online database of Toyota diffs and their specs which can be easily updated dynamically. So, being the giant nerd I am, I went ahead and built one.
The Toyota Axle Database
Note this is version 0.1, so don't laugh at its quickly-slapped-together appearance! Comments and suggestions for additions/improvements gratefully accepted.
Oh yeah, I've only added data for the Celica and Supra, the rest needs to be filled in by those in the know. You need a login account to add/edit data, so if you want to volunteer your services let me know and I'll create an account for you.

Some of the RA65's (at least mine) in the US came with 4 wheel disk brakes.

RA65 SCCA Car (looking for a decent swap)
NCP61 Daily Driver (pondering the practicalities of making it a SCP61)
Easy. I'll add that to the list for version 0.2.Originally Posted by thechuckster

i might also suggest just leaving the ratio codes in the ratio column instead of actually writing it in there. seems to be a little messy
ie. just write 292 instead of 4.1:1 ratio, open centre, 2 pinion.
then let the user refer to a table with all the ratios, like what i had in the word file i sent you.
but, if you are really tricky , you could make the code a URL that goes to a page which says all that stuff
hello
gimmie login.
oh and I'm not sure how he is doing it exactly brett, but he is using ASP and can created the ratio data etc from a look up table in his database in real time, so its not like it is a lot of work for him to put it there, he is pretty well just doing what a person would do manually automatically
Cheers
Wilbo
Yup, I have all the ratio codes in a lookup table, so it's not like I'm actually typing in all that info for every record, you just put in "T292" and it figures out the rest for itself.
Wilbo you have PM.

hello
OK boys and girls, version 0.2 is online now! I've added a few enhancements including the ability to link an image as requested by thechuckster. I also got busy populating the database with info kindly provided by brett_celicacoupe, so it's fairly up to date. However, this tool is only as useful as the data contained in it, and there's a lot of stuff missing (eg only 2 entries for Hilux diffs), so if you have any changes or additions please post them here. Alternatively you can PM myself or anyone else with edit permissions (currently Witzl, Wilbo666 and brett_celicacoupe).
Oh and I also put together a handy little Axle Code Translator tool, just in case you're wondering what that code on your build plate actually means.

Wow, thats awsome. Its so easy to use and all the infomation is right there! Helped me find out where i can source a diff to lower my final ratio, Cheers. This should be put into the FAQ me thinks.
compliments to that diff code converter thing

OK, is TE71 the JDM model? And TE72 is the Aus-delivered model? Because I know the local ones are drum brake and no LSD.
