Mini Jambo is coming up soon. It is an official round of the sport compact championship so should be quite a few quick cars there.
I will be racing but most likely in an ET class again unless I tell them I have a 4 cylinder![]()
So who is racing/spectating?
Even if you don’t think your car is that fast, I urge everyone (quicker than 14.99) to get out there and have a go. It isn’t as scary as people make it out to be. And consistency wins races. So don’t be scared to race as the more people race the better the event is.
And don’t worry about missing the off track BS. Once you are apart of the event, there is a lot more important stuff to do
website is http://www.jamboree.com.au/mj/MJ1.htm
I am keen for spectating just hope closer to the date nothing comes up and I can make it. I also want to encourage toymodders to give it a go, quite a few of you would be able to make the qualifying times. If I had a quick car, I would! Hope to see yous there.

I'll have a look at the link when I get home from work. I want to take the supra for a run at the drags so this just might be the right opportunity.
Do it jake! And get Johal off his ass and out there too!![]()
I'm under the impression johal doesn't like cars too much anymore...
he came to the dyno day we had not long ago. dyno days are good but nothing beats racing at the track![]()
Hmm, well last I spoke to him he said he had gone off cars. I'll harrass him though and see if he will come. I havn't had a chance to look at the link yet either though, so I'll do that now.
it basically says that it is very similar to jambo which is a good thing IMO
oh except it is a one day event which is way better IMO!
1 day jam packed full of action rather than having a 2 day event at a lesuirely pace.
giggity giggity goo
see ya there
JZX83+ FMIC+ Twin 2.5" dumps to 3"+ FCD+ 2800rpm stallie+ 14psi - LSD - good tyres = 12.85 @105.58
The boobs are back
johal won't go anywhere further then 10 mins
would like to come along, i can beat 14.99
Noisy Diff and Gearbox Club of Pine Riversand you thought your car was loudThe Soarer brought to you by the letter TT
do it Gav! You would be in sport rwd to start with but wouldn't qualify I don't think. 8 car fields so cut off was in the 11's I think at Jambo. Doesn't matter though as you then go into ET3 class. Or you can go straight into ET2 with me as I don't fit into sport rwd.
i wont be racing.
probably should i am coming about 5th in the points table for sport rwd.
but saving the money for a full on assualt at september full jambo.
i might comme up and watch though
Can't get any help from sponsors to race?
Surely they would want maximum exposure for their business and seeing as how you are in sport rwd you get tv coverage from round 2. Et classes only get it from the final IIRC.
they only televsie jamboree form my knowledge
sydney event form 17/12/2205 hasnt been on tv

Boris: you racing? Entries close March 11th but usually they extend them anyway. I was going to send mine on the 11th as at the moment my car doesn’t have an ecu.
Anyone else racing? It is only a 15.99 cutoff now not 14.99. Piece of piss![]()
I don't think I'll be racing at this event. I would prefer something a little more tame so I can take my time and learn how to do it all properly. Would prefer a test and tune closer to the colder months![]()
go to http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...9&page=1&pp=50 and read all you can. Guide to getting good times out of mkIII supras. I will be using some of this info. also but changing bits as I have solid rear end etc.
