I've searched and searched and searched some more, Fail every time. Can anyone tell me in short what's required to do this conversion. I keep reading it's easy but no one seems to say what's required. How much actual fabrication is involved? Just the engine mounts or what?

You can either do two things do what timottaway did when he put his 1g in
http://www.toymods.net/forums/showth...?t=6312&page=2
Which involved bashing the firewall in alot so you can still use the standard sway bar, i think i have the same engine and gearbox mounts he used for his conversion lying around. Or you can modify your crossmember and fab up some engine and gearbox mounts, might either need to modify sump to clear sway bar or get a custom sway bar made, you'll need to shorten the tail shaft. Thats the main stuff i can think of at the moment.
I didn't do the conversion myself on my car (cause i was to lazy), but what the did was modify the crossmember used the alloy engine mount to the engine and used 7m mounts to the crossmember and made a new gearbox mount. If you need pics of what they did just let me know and i'll take a few.
Is there any more info on this conversion somewhere??? Just want to know the basics of what needs to be bashed, removed, fabricated etc. for the 1G-GTE to fit.
Also, can I use the W55 that's already in the SA63, and just bolt up a W58 bellhousing? Will that work?
Cheers,
Nader.
