"After the success and support of Steve's Classic Celica Appreciation day last year, Toymods has (as promised) put in motion the Annual Classic Celica appreciation Day.

This years Classic Celica appreciation Day is to be held on Sat May 24th and it will be held each year on the 4th Sat of May for as long as it has support by the way of participation and attendance. (ie we will do it every year unless people stop coming)

The intent of the appreciation day each year is get all the Classic Celica owners motivated to get the Celica's out and have a great day admiring, enjoying and talking all about them. As per last years event there will be a cruise, some food and lots of group Photo's. Last year there were 22 Classic Celica's - It would be great to increase that number every year.

This post wil be update real soon with leaving times and destination but this is the day and it will be happening. If you don't own a Classic Celica your still of course more than welcome to come along and admire the sexiness."

OK, we have a new location for the Classic Celica Appreciation Day -
Saturday 24 May 2008 (Sydney). It's a cruise from Homebush, Sydney to
Woronora Dam! How about we take as many Classic Celicas as we can muster
up to Sydney to see how many in total roll up. Of course, all non
Classic Celicas are welcome to come along with us to check out the
event.

EVENT DETAILS::::::
From Canberra: Gateway Shell Servo at 7 am. Departing 7.15am SHARP (not
waiting for the usual stragglers this time!)
Meeting: 10.30am Homebush P6 Carpark Sydney - then travel to Woronora
Dam (South Sydney on the way home for us Canberrans!)
Departure: 10.45am Sharp from Homebush for the cruise.

We would like to see all the Classic Celicas travel ALL the way to
Homebush for the full meetup as some of the Sydney and Newcastle guys
may not have time to head back down our way on the Woronora Dam cruise.
So best if we all go to Homebush for the big meetup and photo op, then
we can cruise to Woronora Dam with all that can make the extra trip
south.

PLEASE email us to say that you can make it so we can work out the
logistics of the cruise, BBQ etc.

If you don't own a Classic Celica of course your still more than welcome
to come along and admire the classic sexiness!!!! Don't forget your CB,
Chair, hat, NAVMAN and sense of humour!

Ok 6 CCG Classic Celicas signed up so far but hoping for lots more so come out and join in! We are targeting the Classic owners in the CCG to show us some faith and get thier rides ready to roll on 24 May. We have more trying to get there but we need your support...so ask for help if you need it to make the cruise!

Great news is that Zoom magazine will be covering the cruise so we HAVE to get as many CCG Classic Celicas there as possible! So chase up your mates. And of course all interested peeps welcome to join in the cruise to have a look-see!

Ummmm, Im up for it but the question is is my celica up for it. Just performed a Front brake upgrage, rear disk upgrade and a diff upgrade... Only driven it once since then so im not sure if everything is ok. I read that there will be a couple of car trailers just in case and that it'll be nice relaxing drive???? What do you guys reckon

If you are confident with your workmanship and have time to take it out for a good test drive it will make the trip easily. We promise it will be a cool cruise so we look after our Classics!

If anyoneone want to just come for the cruise PLEASE just turn up at 7am. Some guys are travelling on their own so if you want to take a passenger or swap cars we can sort it out by email or just in the morning. Not sure who else is coming along besides Chuck and Simon but the more the merrier!

I have a few lil .5 watt CBs that I can loan for the day but they are a week transmitter unless we are a close convoy on the cruise and even harder to hear clearly cos the cheap speakers! Happy to loan tho as they really help to keep the convoy together.

Huge thanks to all the TOYMODS guys for throwing a brilliant CCAD08!!! Special thanks to the very hands on organisers for all the many extra things thst go to make up this sort of huge event.

Perfect day, so many of the usual and new suspects/players and a plethora of fantastic celicas....how good was that! Long day in the saddle for us CCG & Newie guys but well worth it.

Apologies to many of the CCG guys too for almost ruining the day with getting lost and seperated sooooo many times. We will have to work on our cruising thru Sydney skills and make CBs mandatory for Sydney as we are NOT good at keeping together after being caught at traffic lights!

34 CCs is a brilliant effort for 08. Proud to contribute 12 from the CCG, so imagine prepping for a whole year for this event in 09!!!!!

After much discussion lately...how about an ALL CELICA DAY as well? So we can invite the other brethren as well?? Maybe later in the year between TOYFEST and the NATIONALS?????

Special thanks to Alex (Baconer) for keeping his cool under pressure as we sucessfully seemed to loose hime on several occassions!!! Will go the doctor on this event for the next Sydney cruise amd make sure we all have CBs ans maps....just incase.

Huge apology also to Phil, Seb, Matt L and most of the guys for the 'all over the shop!!!' cruise and piss poor cummunications. I promise to have a propper brief/info etc for players next time we attack Skidneytown. Shall call a BO'C soon to discuss a better plan!
