    Default Stitt's Celebratory Cruise 20-8-06

    Well

    I'd like to put on a cruise and a BBQ to say thanks to everyone that helped out looking for my wagon. Most people gave up alot of time to help me look for it.

    So well plans are;

    Meet: 11:30 Sunday the 20 of August.
    Where: Parliment house (usual CCG meet up point)
    Heading: To the cotor region. The planing being head out for a bit of cruise, then pulling up in one of the picnic spots and fire up the barbie.
    Cost : $0 i'm putting this one on to say thanks.

    If I could get a few RSVP's here that would be great so I've got a rough idea how much meet to buy.

    Thanks again to everyone

    I'm in! Sounds good...

    might not have the celica, but the drive + bbq sounds good! A picnic spot which is dog friendly is always appreciated

    No worries there, just make a donation or what eva

    Shane we may have to ring you on the day for that, or I'll talk to some one who knows the road better and try and pre determine a spot.

    No probs, I will keep an eye on who is attending and I will call someone on the day or something.

    There are a few nice spots down at the Cotter, the ones closer to the campground might be less busy than the ones nearer to the dam and playground area? Not sure if dogs are allowed down there? Casuarina Sands has some BBQs too (just near the Cotter bridge). There is also Uriarra crossing, a couple of picnic/bbq areas there too.

    Uriarra = teh wn for the dogs, but that is only a secondary consideration... I'll be there either way, just up to location wether I bring the mutts or not!

    Squid, is the upper Uriarra picnic/BBQ spot dog friendly?? It's not a bad spot, plenty of parking, toilets etc and usually much quieter than the other areas. It's the area that you enter before you descend into Uriarra crossing if you are coming from the city.
