    Default JZ headflow VS RB

1JZ and 2JZ head VS RB25 and RB26 heads. Does anyone have any flow bench data? I have seen the 1JZ vs 2JZ head thing. Just wondering if they shit on the RBs in head flow aswell, we already know they are like twice as strong. Thats coming from a skyline owner

I am sure that it must have been done but the info. wouldn't be on this site. Most likely SAU or something.

I thought maybe some Toyota enthusiasts would be quick to point it out if it had been done somewhere, specialy if the JZs' came out on top

Never seen any comparisons but it sure would be interesting.

I hate to say it but I'd put money on the RB26 winning. The 1JZ and 2JZ have pretty restrictive ports (exhaust side especially), which as you know was an intentional part of their design to promote rapid turbo spool-up. The RB26 on the other hand was designed to be a top-end screamer, not a low-rpm torque monster like the 2JZ.

Yes but then again its also a smaller engine. I have also heard the RB25 and 26 head ports ane pretty much the same and the only differences over the 25 head is the valve train and intake tract. How true this is I don't know.

Well I've seen a bare 25 head and wasn't very impressed, but I was under the impression the 26 head is a lot better. Could be totally wrong though.

I thought it would be better too, but from the questionable info I have been hearing its only ancillaries that make it better.

RB-25 head is nothing like an RB-26 head. RB-26 shares alot more with RB-20 than a 25.

No I'm not a Nissan head, I'm just surrounded by them and have to help them everytime their Skyline breaks.

Just interested to know why this is the case? What are the differences?

The SAU thread was as expected, defensive. Even the guy who claims he knew the flow figures wouldn't elaborate.Top secret?

Meh, they are a bit precious and maybe delusional about their RB's. After all that, I still have no idea on what heads are better. I would have thought it would have been tested for sure??

BTW Is someone going to tell me I shouldn't mention RBs on this forum?
