Fuel pump on an 86 tarago

I realise that this is a bit off track but has anyone replaced a fuel pump on the above model tarago. For the life of me i cant even find it, i have traced the lilnes still ni joy. Someone has mentioned that i could be in the fuel tank, is this the case?? and does that mean i have to pull the tank out??

I have tried goggleing but had not much or im not typing the right stuff to find it..

any help would be appreciated

What sort of engine is it?

Could well be in the tank. In that case, yes you will have to drop it. Its usually not too hard to drop a tank out of a car.

*hint for dropping out fuel tank*
use/siphon out as much fuel as you can first before dropping the tank. 20Liters of fuel = about 20 Kgs extra.
