Hi all.
Unfortunately, my 1984 Toyota Cown, Royal Sallon, MS123, with the 5ME, decided it no longer wants to run.

I believe it's a fueling issue as it smells extremely of fuel and has always a bit of a thirst problem.

I was driving back from the service station and gave it a bit of a rev up a hill when all of a sudden, I lost all power and died. I pulled over immediately, had a quick look under the hood, and couldn't see any issues. It started back up, drove for another 5 minutes, then died again.

Strangely, it starts and runs for 2 - 3 seconds completely fine with the fuel pump disconnected. But when you reconnect it, the engine splutters once and then dies.

I have ordered a new fuel pump regulator injector rebuild kit, coolant ecu sensor, and plugs. I'm hoping to install them in the next couple of days.

Any further help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Karl .
