Default Why would brake caliper slide pins keep seizing up?

Car is an '88 aus delivered AW11, stock brakes.

I find my brake caliper slide pins keep seizing up.
I clean them and regrease them, but every time I've checked them again after driving the car, I'll find the pin is seized quite firmly, takes a fair bit of force with pliers to get the pin to move, to then take it out and clean it again.
Its usually after a track day I'll check them, since I'll find the brakes will loose a lot of bite.

Is this just a symptom of old brake calipers? as they have 330000 ks on them, can't actually get brand new calipers anymore, and secondhand replacements might have the same problem.
I was quoted $600 to recondition the calipers.

I'm using high temperature bearing grease (Castrol HTB 2) on the pins. Is there a better option that won't seize up so quickly?
Or do I just need to clean the bore out more thoroughly?

First you need to inspect the caliper and clean the I.D. [if the ID is real rough you may have to sleeve the calipers]. Polish the pin O.D.s in drill will fine 400# paper, if you can not get new sliding pins.
Next go to an industrial supply and get a can of Fel-Pro C5-a Hi-Temp anti-seize. Get the smallest can, they have, even that will last 50yrs. That same stuff also works great on sealing exhaust gaskets.

Hi Adam. I have some part numbers available for MR2. Upper caliper bush for 08/88- 11/89 is 47779-16010, Amayama have 5 available at $8.99 AUD each. Lower bush for 08/88- 11/89 is 47769-12030 and Amayama have 10+ for $10.73 AUD. There are two different bolts/pins depending on length, 90119-09003 dimensions 9mm OD x 1.25mm pitch- 71 length with 25mm thread at $9.55 AUD each 2 of required. Or the other original number has been replaced with 90119-09008, dimensions: 9mm x 1.25 pitch- 91mm long with 25mm thread at $4.55 AUD, 10+ available. These are current Amayama prices off their website.
There is some parts listed for 11/84 - 8/88. You have to check build date for me to try searching for that date range.
