Default Anyone want to identify this plug? (1GGZE wiring I think)

In the course of replacing a number of cooling system hoses, I had to remove several sensor connections and found the one in the pic below. I had never noticed it before as it sits in behind three other plugs, below the thermostat housing and underneath the intake pipe. The car is running fine, so I'm not desperate. I looked through my engine manual as well as the toyodiy diagrams and the closest I could find is perhaps some kind of O2 sensor.
Anyone got first hand knowledge of what this is?

That part looks a little different to my old Gen 3 motor - but being that it is on the coolant circuit and single wire, it is most likely the sender for the dash temp gauge. The green plug will be the coolant temp signal to the ECU so is more important. Do you have a wider shot because on mine, that only had a bolt going through it and the dash sensor was in front of the ECU sensor.

Thanks Big_zop. Another top down pic below. You can see the green plug. As you say, likely tells ecu about temp. The single wire plug you mentioned is what I think is the gray/white flat plug to the right and I think it is the dash temp sender as my ra23 factory temp gauge works just fine (not sure how accurate/precise given that it has no temps written on it ).

The plug in my first pic is now underneath the intake airbox and not visible in the second photo.

Ok, that is strange. I double checked my photos and I did not have that sensor - it is simply a bolt to hold on that water housing and bracket. Maybe you can either trace it back to the ECU with a continuity tester and check a pinout for your motor?

I'll give that a crack. Just to be clear, I'm not sure that it ever had anything to do with the bolt that it is weirdly lined up with. It doesn't match up at all when I tried to line it up. I think it may be an untidy leftover from the loom when the conversion was done. Thanks for your help.

    Oh, I didn't realize that.

In that case, I went through my photos and was able to find something similar on the back of the AC compressor - I know it isn't the plug for the clutch as that is blue and 2 wire, but since I don't have my engine anymore, I cant check where it goes.

I had a look through your thread and could tell you didn't have AC installed but wanted to so you at least have the compressor still on the engine? Here are the best photos I have showing the plug on the back of the compressor, the wire looks similar too.

That's the one! It even matches the air con stuff I have in a box.

    Thanks heaps!
