1JZ in MA61 NO COLD START?

i'd check that the air-inlet for the ISCV isn't blocked because someone thought it was polution gear or something..

the rattle on start up is before the oil pressure gets up.. mine does it too.. hasn't died yet.. so i kinda figure its just there..

It's quite common for the ISCV to be clogged up or just plain non-functional on JZ engines. My 2JZ has been like that ever since I bought it 3 years ago, I've been meaning to do something about it but I just got used to it. Make sure you have your foot on the throttle at all times when the engine is cold and it's all good. My engine warms up very quickly so it's not a big drama.
