Found K&N 56-9138 fits 2T/ 2TB Aisin carby
As title says. Looking for performance filter assemblies to fit aisin carbies on 2TB engine.
Can only find filter assemblies to suit 22R which have rectangular top where filter sits, as 2T & 2TB have round tops.
Found K&N 56-9138 fits 2T/ 2TB Aisin carby
Hi toyta22, how do the 2TB carbys compare to say a 32/36 webber? What rebuild kit did you buy for them? Just stumbled across a set of 2tb carbs and thinking about running them opposed to the 32/36 i have
I found has more low down pulling power, with 32/36 weber had to change down a gear when climbing slight hills unless in 80K plus zone as with 2TB carbs don't need to. If your engine has modifications, mine has head work and mild Clive cams camshaft, had to use O2 sensor and drill out main and idle jets. Would run lean at idle and mid range. Unluckily can't find specs sheet I wrote.
Walker carburetor gaskets sells the replacement gaskets for those twin downdrafts carburetors. You have to know those Carburetors inside and out to identify the exact gaskets required since individuel gaskets themselves can be purchased between twenty-seven pages of Asian Carburetor parts sheets. These sheets you have to compare to the Toyota factory gasket drawings to make sure. I would give you the parts numbers, however I currently can not find that paperwork to share.
That would be for the gaskets only because the metal parts are not in production.
For that you have to find the correct year of your carbs so that you can order the single carb rebuild kit to source the brass or metal internals.
(There is a Canadian company selling their exact complete kits brass and all out of Buffalo New York, limited supply. I'll update once I have found the paperwork for both sources.)

Ok here goes:
Walker Kit: 15528 is for a (1970 - 1972) Only Carina carburetor set up whic is the actual kit that you need to find in order to get all of the internal parts but the base Gasket is different which would mean that if you found the Carina parts kit you only require gasket number 480F,
From Kit 15551 (1973-1974) you require Flange gasket 311F
I found a Lucas Gasket brand kit number: MS-528 for all the brass internals and also kit listed as TO-6K (Karb-Tun-Kit)
(Listed under three other numbers)(162-8999)(C-62) written on package without the box it came in. (50-428 Techlit Co. 1972)(Printed instruction sheet included)
My advice: Goe to the walker company site and down load the PDF's showing the breakdowns for the kits themselves and compare these drawing to the toyota breakdown before spending any money to verify!
