    Default Corona Mark 2 MX13 2JZ-GE Conversion

    Hi Guys,

I've just picked up a 1976 MX13 Corona Mark 2 in great original condition with a blown head gasket. I was always planning to do a 2JZ-GE conversion but the blown head gasket has helped to reduce the price and also speedup the conversion. I owned another example of the same car back in the early nineties and did a conversion to manual with a 5 speed celica gearbox

Thanks to the forums I've got most of the build set out with the following -

2JZ-GE with auto trans (dodgey knee so a manual is out)
    standard ECU and wiring harness
    potential transmission tunnel mods
    sump from a JZS131 or JZS133
    custom engine and gearbox mounts
I found an old post from Andrew Bolt who did the same conversion that suggests the cross member needs to be modified
extractors to clear steering box and custom exhaust
in tank fuel pump from a BA falcon
    retain standard steering box
retain factory power steering and air conditioning

The car will be engineered once complete so I've spoken to a local engineer in Victoria to try and get an idea what I'm getting into and the cost.

I was originally going to use a front cut but they are pretty hard to come across. I can get a 2JZ-GE with auto trans from a JZA80 Supra but I wanted to make sure I get all the extra bits to do the conversion.

I've put together the following list

    2JZ-GE with accessories and ignitors
    auto transmission
    ECU and wiring harness
    power steering reservoir
    intake and airbox
    tailshaft
    transmission shifter
    fuel regulator
    trans cooling lines
    engine mounts
    trans mount
    radiator hoses
    accelerator cable

Is there anything else I would normally need from a half cut to convert a non-efi car ?

Back in the day (early 2000s ??) a forum member Gianttomato had a 2JZ-GE powered Corona. I seem to remember it being a Mark 2. He was based in Melbourne and raced it regularly/occasionally. I'm not sure if he's still active around the place but he may have posted details of the conversion.
I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.
