    cheers for the info thats awesome as i just got an extention on my loan so i got another 5gz hehehe i might just go check that place out and get a quote on a rebuild with some new SHINIES hehehe would love to actually finally get some good amount of power out of this thing hahaha as i didnt relise that i needed a FCD to install a boost controller.... I tried the atom boost controller and it just kept on spiking

    You don't need an FCD, look on your firewall for a little sensor with a plug and a single hose going to it, it says something like "SENSOR TURBO PRESSURE", with blue or green writing. Unplug the hose (NOT the connector) and stick a bolt in it. There you have it, FCD

    Your stock boost gauge won't work anymore, but they are useless anyway.
    And just make sure your boost controller is tuned properly, you don't want to spike and do some damage

    Seriously, try the headgasket first. Take your car to a shop and get an analysis done on the coolant, that'll tell you pretty fast if there's something wrong...But if you want to go nuts, then full-house build it is! Just remember to save some $$$ for an ECU...

    the wolf 3d V4 isn't to bad for a plug n play unit, Classique71 is the man to talk to re. the wolfs.

    A good idea is, that if you ARE going to build it up yourself (contracting out the machining work of course) get a video camera and video tape the whole process of pulling the engine out and piece by piece pulling it to bits. That way you could look back on it and see how you did it all.
