Default Brake options for Celica ST162

So Ive recently acquired an 1986 Celica (St 162 SX). Im researching what brake options I have. I already know that all the st16x and st18x parts are fairly interchangeable. What i was more looking for guodance on is what other brake i have as options. Big brake kits (Aussie local) would be cool, or what other models had same, or similar, brake setup.

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you provide!

I think you can fit some of the caldina brakes as well. They still had the 5x100 stud pattern.

    for the front

direct fit options are limited to st202/204 st18x and st16x for calipers

possible fit is the st215 caldina calipers but you'd have to check

st18x and st16x rotors fit straight on, st2xx have a slightly larger spigot hole and aren't suitable. you can match st202/4 calipers with st185 rotors though

otherwise any off the shelf st165/st185 big brake kit will likely bolt on the front, if you can find any

closest bet on the rears would be st185 for a direct bolt in with a slightly larger disc but can't find anything on the caliper bolt spacing, may or may not bolt on, may not suit the 162 drum handbrake either.

If I remember correctly, ST184 Series 2 brakes (same size as ADM GT-Four) and / or VZV21 Camry brakes are the biggest bolt-on options for the ST162. You could check the DBA catalog for confirmation of this.

I imagine both options are pretty thin on the ground these days though...

st205 rear fit st185 hubs etc, just needs a shim between the rotor bore and the hub OD.
if 185 brake will fit your hubs, save your effort and get the revolution wilwood kit. i cooked stock 185 brakes with P-MU HC+ pads ducting and racing fluid at QR.

what do you want big brakes for? mountain runs or track days? big difference in what is required.
