What is your location?
I have an AE92 Corolla with 4AGZE for grabs. I purchased this with full intension of making it a weekender/track car, but never had the time so in my 2 cars of ownership it has been unregistered and not driven. Full details as follows:
Car History:
I was a long time member of the twincam forums, so I have known this car since the early 2000s. The following timeline is a compilation of forum posts that I have tracked over the years:
0km – 175,000km (2007): Conversion to bigport 4AGZE done. Most mods per current were done during this time. Car was registered in NSW.
175,000km – 200,000km: Car registered in VIC.
200,000km – 230,000km (to end of 2012): Motor was fully rebuilt at 210,000km by an ex Meridian Motorsport mechanic; head was recoed (valve stems, valve cut & face), new oil & water pumps, gates racing belt & tensioners, ARP head & rod bolt kits, race bearings, adjustable cam gears
230,000km – 249,000km (2013 – 2014): Car was sold and registered in QLD.
249,000km (Jan 2014 – now): Car was purchased by me from previous owner. Car was used as a daily and registered prior to my purchase. Upon purchase, car was de-registered and has been sat in the garage unused (with the occasional drive around the block to circulate fuel tank and car wash). I have done no more than 100km around the block in 2+ years of ownership.
Current Specs:
- 4AGZE Bigport head with a smallport (oil squirter) bottom end.
- The engine was rebuilt about 40,000 kms ago by an ex Meridian Motorsport mechanic; head was recoed (valve stems, valve cut & face), new oil & water pumps, gates racing belt & tensioners, ARP head & rod bolt kits, race bearings, adjustable cam gears
- Other engine mods done are; ABV mod, bigport cams, and I got the head reco company to tap a thread into side of head to plumb a brass elbow to allow oil drain into block (copy of the smallport head setup).
- Running a 165mm crank oversize pulley and the later smallport SC12 with the smaller pulley.
- 2" Exhaust and high flow cat.
- Factory Front Strut Brace.
- Koni Externally Adjustable all round (around 30k kms on them) Whiteline springs.
- Whiteline Front swaybar (24mm adjustable) Whiteline Rear swaybay (22mm adjustable).
- ALL suspension bushes replaced with Poly Bushes (around 40k kms on them).
- Twin piston Superstrut callipers and modified DBA743 slotted discs. Custom SBS semi -race pads.
- 15" ROH Alloy rims 195 50 15
- Complete Corolla SX rear disk setup (SBS pads).
- SX Instrument cluster including autometer boost gauge (installed in place of clock in sx cluster) and SC light.
- AE111 Shifter (Shorter Throw).
- Corolla SX wing
- AE92 GT FX Front and Rear (matching) Velour Seats (From 3 door hatch, same as the ones from the levins).
- Factory central locking.
- Factory Power Windows transplanted from Series 2 Seca (everything). Series 2 door trims including power window controls on all 4 doors
- Series 2 power Mirrors.
- AE92 Bonnet scoop.
- Dark Window Tint good condition.
- Black carpet and dash plastics painted (properly).
- MOMO Race Steering Wheel (looks new).
- Mongoose MX750 Alarm w/ backup battery.
- Fusion speakers and Clarion amp at back
- Air conditioning
- Registered in NSW, VIC, QLD, so is fully engineered and compliant in all 3 states. QLD owner spent ~$1,500 for full engineering and compliance.
Car Condition:
- Interior is in excellent condition, especially so for a car of this age.
- Exterior paint is in good condition. Some minor scratches and dings consistent with age.
Sale Condition:
- The battery is flat (replaced new in 2014), so will require jumpstart.
- Unable to test drive as I live on busy street, so will not take on risk of driving unregistered. In leiu of this I have tried to be as descriptive as I can. Mechanical inspections welcome.
- I took car to my mechanic straight after purchase in 2014, he said motor and mechanical parts were all in good nick and consistent with description. RWC inspection was done and actually passed, but I chose not to proceed with certificate as I decided not to register the car at that stage. Car will required to be towed away as not registered.

If memory serves me correctly (loooong time ago), this was originally owned and built by "little" Shane from the twincam forums (forget his username now....).
If so, then this is a damn good car at an effin bargain price. Shane did everything properly and by the book.
This is going back a LONG time, so my memory could be hazy

Good to hear from the folks back in my twincam days.
Yes this is Shane's old car, hence I was able to reconcile its history from old posts etc.
Yes it is underpriced, the intention was to move it quickly, as I have accepted that I don't have time for cars anymore, so no point holding onto it as my trophy as I've done for the last 2 years (I'm a very big ae92 fan, this example is trophy worthy).
